Dutch photographer and filmmaker Johan van der Keuken, in a poetic approach, films in India (Kerala) various performing art schools within a village with the circulation of money as a background through the route of a lender passing from village to village. It is a film movement that captures a civilization's essence, certain values of harmony and artistic discipline, and a traditional world opening to modernity. Acclaimed when it came to European screens, this film won the Grand Prix at the Brussels Film Festival in 1989.
