The director Mathilde Syre spent a year recording the daily chores, achievements and challenges of this farming community while exploring the themes of autonomy, collective initiatives, cropland repurposing and seed accessibility. Beyond protecting the environment, the farmers champion an achievable agrarian way to live off the land as well as an alternative approach to building a society. Perhaps the land holds the answer to our problems?
