The dates planned for conducting studio-based research with the choreographers and dancers of the OnR Ballet, and the dates of events, talks, and performances will be announced at the start of the 2020-2021 season.
Presentation
L'Atelier is an alternative space where we build the identity of the OnR Ballet as a National Choreography Center for the future. The previous editions explored what European ballet meant in the 21^st^ century, with "A choreographic dramaturgy?" (L'Atelier #1) and "The artists in a 21st-century ballet?" (L'Atelier #2), followed by "Repertoire in the 21^st^ century" (L'Atelier #3).
Our fourth edition will consist of a series of talks on art in the urban space and will examine the role and purpose of the artist in the city.
This season, we will introduce new forms of interaction in partnership with POLE-SUD, CDCN Strasbourg (the national center for choreographic development). These activities will relate to the ballets Wings of Desire and María de Buenos Aires, and the EXTRAPOLE festival. A number of workshops will bring together the choreographers and dancers of the OnR Ballet with artists who practice around the city.
