Orchestre symphonique de Mulhouse | Direction: Jacques Lacombe
Until the Lions 's world premiere opera is the occasion to discover other works by Thierry Pécou during the festival. This is the case of Soleil rouge, concerto for trumpet and orchestra, created in 2016, inspired by the composer's trip to the indigenous communities of North America territories where he studied their ceremonial music. In this concerto, Thierry Pécou indicates that the trumpet "conjures the spirits, and describes the visions and dreams that arise from the widening of consciousness". On this concert program conducted by Jacques Lacombe at the head of his Orchestre symphonique de Mulhouse are two essential works, the 7th by Schubert and the irresistible Requiem by Mozart.
