Mariano Pensotti and contemporary Argentine theatre

Director and writer Mariano Pensotti is one of the most innovative artists on the South American scene today. His shows have run at major European festivals such as the Avignon Festival and the Ruhrtriennale. In Strasbourg, it was Barbara Engelhardt, director of Le Maillon theater, who introduced us to him. His production of “Beatrix Cenci” is Mariano Pensotti’s operatic debut.
