Xinqi Huang

Xinqi Huang's varied course combines traditional dances and Chinese calligraphy, yoga and a curiosity for other body techniques. Her encounter with tango and with the Argentinian dancer and choreographer Carolina Udoviko deeply marked her career in dance. Attracted in recent years, she is interested in contemporary dance. In 2016 she began a series of collaborations with Matias Tripodi, which resulted in the construction of a duo that questions the tango and its possible developments. Together they have produced choreographic projects with Incidence Chorégraphique (Paris), the Autonomous Fabrique des Acteurs (Lorraine), the Maison de l'Argentine de Cité Universitaire and festivals of the European tango scene. Xinqi Huang has been based in Poitiers since 2014.
