Roman Polisadov

Roman Polisadov graduated in singing at the Music Academy in Riga, Latvia. His first debut was in Rigoletto by Verdi in the role of Sprafucile (1994), then he got a contract with the Latvian National Opera. He was awarded the international solo at the Opera of Rhodes (Greece) in 2002. Since 2010 he has been singing many roles in important theaters: the Commendatore in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Bonze in Madama Butterfly in Duesseldorf, Sarastro Magic Flute and Ramphis in Aida in Köln, Timur Turandot and Monterone Rigoletto in Warsaw. Still Sarastro in St. Gallen, the Priest in Lady Macbeth from Mcensk by Schostakovitch in Hong Kong, at the Bolshoi and the Bellini in Catania theaters, Tom in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Savonlinna Opera Festival. He was also, Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini and Prince Gremin in Eugen Onegin. He sang the Commendatore in Don Giovanni in Dusseldorf and Duisburg and in Riga he is singing Landgraf in Tannhäuser, Prince Gremin in Eugen Onegin, Zaccaria in Nabucco, Daland in Fliegender Holländer and amongst other roles Banco in Macbeth.
