Biography

This Romanian artist studied singing at the University of Oradea with Lavinia Cherecheş and at the Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca with Gheorghe Roşu and Alexandru Farcaş. She won the Special Jury Prize at the Bad Mergentheim International Competition in 2006 and the Agnes Kriza Prize at the Hungarian Opera of Cluj-Napoca in 2007. Since then she has been a permanent soloist of the Hungarian Opera Cluj-Napoca, where she sang Pamina (Die Zauberflötte), Mimì (La Bohème), Micaela (Carmen), Amelia (A Masked Ball), as well as Saffi (The Gypsy Baron), Hanna Glavary (The Merry Widow) and Sylva Varescu (The Princess Csardas). Since 2011 she has been a member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein troupe, where she performed Nedda (Pagliacci), Mimi (La Bohème), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Micaela (Carmen), Violetta (La traviata), la Comtesse (Les Noces de Figaro), Liù (Turandot). She has been invited to the Opéra national de Paris and the Opéra d'Avignon for Pagliacci and La Bohème, at the NCPA Beijing for Pagliacci, at the Masada Festival for Carmen, at the Metropolitan Opera New York for Musetta (La Bohème) and at the Budapest State Opera for Mimi. In 2018, she made her debut in Desdemona (Otello by Verdi) at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and sang her first Leonora (Le Trouvère) in concert with Bucharest Radio Orchestra.
